All American Girls Documentary
A message from Blake Changnon, founder, president, and CEO of The Changnon Family Museum of Toys and Collectibles:
I am beyond excited to finally share a secret I’ve been holding onto for over a year and a half! I am honored to announce my involvement in the upcoming American Girl documentary, All American Girls, produced by Participant and Conduit Films.
This incredible film offers an unprecedented glimpse into the iconic doll line created by Pleasant Rowland. And for the first time, Pleasant has granted film rights to her story, sharing an exclusive interview and providing a behind-the-scenes look at the beloved characters she brought to life.
For me, this project has been nothing short of a dream come true. It’s given me the chance to celebrate Pleasant Rowland’s legacy and the company that has profoundly shaped my life—Pleasant Company. As many of you know, American Girl is more than a passion for me; it’s part of my story. To share my admiration, knowledge, and experiences in an interview on film has been truly special.
This journey has also been deeply personal. I had the privilege of meeting so many incredible individuals who worked closely with Pleasant and whose stories have both inspired me and shaped my path. Their experiences have enriched my understanding and love of this iconic brand, and I’m so grateful to have connected with them. I can’t wait for you to hear their stories too!
I can’t wait for you all to see this documentary and hope it inspires the same love and appreciation for American Girl that has meant so much to me. I’ll be sharing updates as they come, so stay tuned!
