Felicity Learns a Lesson

Felicity’s mother determines that she is old enough to learn to be a polite gentlewoman and is sent to Miss Manderly’s house. At Miss Manderely’s, Felicity learns stitchery, dancing, penmanship and the proper way to serve tea. While at Miss Manderly’s, she meets two young girls who have moved to Williamsburg from England. One of them, Elizabeth, becomes Felicity's best friend.

Felicity and Elizabeth have fun at Miss Manderly’s, especially as they learn to serve tea. But when Felicity’s Father decides that he will no longer sell tea at his store or drink it at home due to the King’s tax on tea, Felicity is unsure of what to do. She wants to be loyal to her father, but loves her tea lessons with Elizabeth. What should Felicity do?
