Josefina Learns a Lesson

Everything seems to be going right when Tia Dolores returns to her family’s rancho until a flash flood comes and kills the family’s sheep. Tia Dolores suggests they start a weaving business to recover from their loss. Josefina is unsure of what to think—Mama would never have had an idea like that.

Papa loves the idea and with the help of Tia Dolores, Josefina and her sisters learn and start to weave. When Tia Dolores decides that it is time for the girls to learn how to read, Josefina is excited! She starts to worry because Mama did not know how to read. Will reading and weaving make Josefina forget Mama?
