Josefina’s Surprise
It’s the first Christmas without Mama, and Josefina hopes that her family will be happy. However, those feelings are shattered when they discover that the Christmas altar cloth that their Mama embroidered, or sewed, has been damaged.
Then when Josefina finds that the special doll her Mama made has disappeared, she is determined to find her. Soon Tia Dolores has an idea that can help heal the emotions the family is feeling.
Soon their village and friends start to gather for an annual tradition called Las Posadas, an event that celebrates the journey that Mary and Joseph went on. When Josefina is asked to partake in the special tradition, she is unsure if she wants to participate. Josefina comes to find that the happiest memories can bring comfort during a difficult time.
