Kaya Shows the Way

It’s finally summer which means it’s time to fish for salmon at Celilo Falls. Summer also means it’s time for horse races, games, dancing and so much more! Kaya is excited to join in on the fun, but she wants to search for her lost sister, Speaking Rain who was captured by enemy raiders last year. With many families and friends gathering, Kaya is hopeful that someone will have news to share. 

While Kaya is excited to look for Speaking Rain, she is also sad. Her older sister, Brown Deer, is getting married soon. She already lost one sister when she escaped, will she lose another to marriage?
