Meet Nanea

Meet Nanea, an ambitious, mature and caring girl living with her family on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Honolulu in 1941. Nanea’s life seemed to be going perfectly until the horrible attacks of Pearl Harbor. Everyone seems to be fearful and uncertain now that there are strict curfews and mandatory blackouts. 

Things suddenly don’t go the way Nanea thought: her best friend is forced to leave her home, her dog Mele goes missing and her brother decides to do his part and join the war. Nanea is determined to make things better for her, her family and her community by finding ways to share the aloha spirit. She starts by searching for Mele and finding new ways to bring cheer.
