Meet Samantha
Meet Samantha Parkington, a bright, compassionate and generous girl who is living in Mount Bedford, New York in 1904. An orphan, Samantha lives with her wealthy and very strict grandmother, Grandmary, in her big Victorian home. Although there are many servants working for Grandmary in her big home, there is no one to play with Samantha.
When she finds out that a servant girl named Nellie has moved next door to work, Samantha is excited to have a friend to play with. Although their lives are different and Nellie is working so she can send money back to her family in the city, the two become best friends. When Samantha discovers that Grandmary’s seamstress is leaving, she doesn't understand why. The girls decide to plan a late-night adventure to find out for themselves.
