Rebecca’s cousin, Ana and her family, have finally arrived at Ellis Island. Rebecca can’t wait to meet Anna and do everything together. It will be just like having a sister! Although it is crowded with two big families in her parent’s one small New York apartment, Rebecca is glad to share everything she has with her cousin, even her clothes!

When Rebecca takes Ana to school with her, she wants to help teach her English and stay caught up in class. But when Rebecca’s teacher asks her to include her cousin in a performance she is working on, Rebecca panics. With Ana’s broken English, she fears her cousin will ruin the performance. How can Rebecca tell Ana that she doesn’t want to include her in the show? What will Ana think?
